Application
This series of vent plug could equalize the pressure differentials of chemical containers which caused by temperature difference, altitude changes and releasing/consuming gases, in order to prevent container deformation and liquid leakage.
The vent plugs can be used in breathable cap products for chemicals packaging containers, and be suitable for High-concentration Hazardous Chemicals, Low-concentration Household Chemicals, Agricultural Chemicals and other Special Chemicals.
Shelf life is two years from the date of receipt for this product as long as this product is stored in its original packaging in an environment below 80° F (27° C) and 60% RH.
All data above are typical data for the membrane raw material, for reference only, and should not be used as special data for outgoing quality control.
All technical information and advice given here is based on ZZPIP’s previous experiences and test results. ZZPIP gives this information to the best of its knowledge, but assumes no legal responsibility. Customers are asked to check the suitability and usability in the specific application, since the performance of the product can only be judged when all necessary operating data are available.
Frequently Asked Questions
QWhat is the primary function of the Snap-In Vent Plug?
The main function is to equalize pressure differentials in chemical containers caused by temperature changes, altitude variations, and gas release or consumption, thereby preventing container deformation and liquid leakage.
QWhat materials are used to construct the vent plug and its membrane?
The plug body is made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), and the breathable membrane is constructed from a PTFE/PO non-woven material with oleophobic and hydrophobic surface properties.
QWhat chemicals is this vent plug compatible with?
It is designed for chemical packaging and is suitable for high-concentration hazardous chemicals, low-concentration household chemicals, agricultural chemicals, photovoltaic liquids, electrolytes, and general pesticide fertilizers.
QWhat is the typical air flow rate and water entry pressure?
Under ASTM testing standards, the typical air flow rate is 400 ml/min @ 7KPa (with a minimum rate of ≥250 ml/min), and the water entry pressure is ≥150 KPa (dwelling for 30 seconds).
QDoes the product comply with environmental regulations like RoHS?
Yes, the vent plug meets RoHS requirements and is completely PFOA and PFOS free, tested under standards such as IEC 62321, US EPA 3550C, and US EPA 8321B.
QHow should the vent plugs be stored to maintain their shelf life?
The product has a shelf life of two years from receipt, provided it remains in its original packaging and is stored in an environment below 80° F (27° C) with a relative humidity (RH) of 60%.
